We’re delighted to welcome Katie Ford to the SquareOne team as our new Business Administrator Apprentice, at our Liverpool Head Office!
Katie has settled in really well and is already getting involved across different areas of the business, supporting with day-to-day administration and gaining a better understanding of how things work behind the scenes at SquareOne.
Katie is completing her apprenticeship with us through Access Industries, who we’re pleased to be working with as part of her development.
The apprenticeship gives Katie a great opportunity to build her knowledge and skills while gaining real workplace experience at the same time.
As a company that values learning and development, we’re proud to support Katie as she grows her skills and gains valuable experience at the start of her career.
To help everyone get to know Katie a little better, we asked her a few questions about her apprenticeship, her interests and life outside work!
What are you enjoying most about your apprenticeship so far?
I’m enjoying getting more confident with systems and getting involved in different tasks, as well as understanding more about how the business runs. I like that I’m getting the experience rather than learning from a book.
What’s your favourite Microsoft application?
I’d say Teams. I hadn’t really used it much before working here and thought it was mainly just for video calls, so I’ve liked learning all the other things you can use it for.
What’s your dream holiday destination?
I’d love to go to New Orleans for the jazz and history, maybe Mexico during Día de los Muertos, or Rio during Carnival.
What’s your favourite TV programme or film?
I love 80s and 90s films and TV like The Breakfast Club, Clueless, Look Who’s Talking and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. I also really like psychological thrillers and horror like American Horror Story.
Who would be your dream dinner guest?
A lawyer from a high-profile case – I’d want to find out all the juicy details!
What’s one random fact about you?
I was born in Marbella on the 8th of September, which is the feast day of Virgen de la Victoria in Málaga, so my middle name is Victoria.
