LEARNER FEEDBACK
Practical training focused on impact
“I wasn’t confident with Excel because I struggled to understand formulas. The trainer took this on board and made sure everything was explained clearly and slowly. I really enjoyed the course and feel so much more confident with Excel.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Everything you need to know
Which Excel course level should I choose?
It isn’t always easy to judge your Excel level, particularly if you’re confident with some tasks but less familiar with others. Excel Essentials suits new or less confident users, Excel Intermediate covers tools such as lookup formulas and PivotTables, and Excel Advanced focuses on complex formulas, data analysis and automation.
If you’re unsure, tell us what you use Excel for and we’ll happily recommend the right course. For wider teams or mixed ability groups, we can discuss tailored training options and provide a training needs analysis to identify skills gaps and recommend the most appropriate programme.
Are the Excel courses live or self-paced?
You’ll learn live with an experienced trainer, either online or in a classroom. Each course is practical and interactive, giving you the opportunity to ask questions, follow demonstrations and complete exercises throughout the session. Our courses are not prerecorded or self-paced.
Where can I attend an Excel training course?
Our scheduled Excel courses are available live online and at training venues in Liverpool, Manchester and London. We also deliver private and tailored Excel training onsite at workplaces throughout the UK and across Europe.
If you’re unsure which dates, location or delivery method would suit you best, get in touch and we’ll help you explore the available options.
Can you tailor Excel training around our spreadsheets?
Yes—this is one of the main benefits of private Excel training. We can adapt the content around your systems, spreadsheets, reporting processes and the existing ability levels within your team.
Training can incorporate relevant workplace tasks and examples, helping delegates apply what they learn more directly in their roles. We can also recommend a training needs analysis where additional support is needed to identify skills gaps and shape the programme.
What is included with the course?
Your course includes live trainer-led tuition, practical exercises, supporting course materials, and a certificate of completion.
Lunch and refreshments are also provided for scheduled classroom courses held at our Liverpool training centre. Just let us know about any dietary requirements when booking and we’ll be happy to help.
What Excel training formats are available?
You can join a scheduled public course, arrange private training for your team or book tailored one-to-one Excel training. Courses can be delivered online, at one of our training venues or onsite at your workplace.
We can also provide half-day sessions, bite-sized workshops, lunchtime learning and seminar-style training where appropriate. If you’re unsure which approach would work best, we can recommend a format based on your objectives, delegate numbers and available time.
Do your Excel courses include AI and Microsoft Copilot?
Our core Excel courses follow the topics shown in each course outline, so you’ll know what will be covered before booking. We also offer training in using AI and Microsoft Copilot with Excel, either as a dedicated session or as part of a tailored programme.
This can include practical ways to create formulas, analyse data, identify trends and work more efficiently. The most suitable content will depend on your organisation’s Microsoft 365 setup, available licences and how you currently use Excel.
